Your basic fabric - in many beautiful colours!
The combination of binding and elastane make this fabric especially stretchy while letting it hold its shape.
This is very important when sewing sleeve, leg and hem cuffs for T-shirts, trousers, skirts, hoodies or hats.
- Cotton fabrics are soft and comfortable to wear. They are breathable, durable and easy to care for.
- FOUR-WAY STRETCH: Thanks to the amount of elastane in this fabric, it’s especially stretchy and can be pulled in any direction without losing its shape. Fabrics with four-way stretch are especially comfortable as they sculpt to your body’s curves.
- This lovely ribbing fabric is tubular, so it is sold as a loop. It’s knitted in the round, so is doubled up. You can sew it as it is, which means you won’t have any side seams. Or you can cut it at the side if you need a wider or narrower piece.
- This tubular fabric measures 75 cm.
- YOUR SEWING PROJECT: It’s best to use a jersey needle to sew this very stretchy ribbing fabric. The ribbing should always be cut a couple of centimetres smaller than the edge you’re sewing it to as it stretches out as you stitch.
We recommend washing the fabric before use, as fabrics made from natural fibres may shrink in the first wash!
