Linen - a true summer classic!

Medium heavy, pre-washed linen of highest quality and in beautiful colours. This timeless fabric made from all natural fibers is just as suited for cooling summer clothing as it is for warming apparel in winter. It is also great for decorative projects like tablecloths and drapes.

  • LINEN FABRICS: Fabrics made from bast fibres are referred to as linen. The most common bast fibre is flax or linseed, which is where linen gets its name. Other bast fibres that can be used to make linen fabrics include hemp and ramie.
  • RAMIE: Ramie is a natural plant fibre. Similar to linen, it is also characterised by a silky sheen.
  • YOUR SEWING PROJECT: Thanks to its weave, this fabric is very easy to work with. It’s best to use a universal needle.

We recommend washing the fabric before use, as fabrics made from natural fibres may shrink in the first wash!
