Madeira Wash Away – water-soluble basting thread

With Wash Away, you don’t need to remove basting stitches, as Wash Away is worked like a standard sewing thread but dissolves upon contact with water or steam without leaving any residue.

Suitable for all domestic sewing machines, but the speed and tension must be decreased.

Ideal for all seams that are only required on a temporary basis.

To baste zips, hems, and plissé pleats, to insert sleeves and to quilt and appliqué.
