Sewing instructions outdoor cushion
Description
With these great sewing instructions you can sew a comfortable and practical outdoor seat cushion. Thanks to the outdoor fabric used, the pillow can be left outside when it rains. So you can enjoy your time outside on the balcony, in the garden or out in nature without worrying.
You'll Need:
Cutting
Cut the top part of the pattern eight times (0.7 cm seam allowance is already included in the cut).
Assemble cut parts
Divide the eight cut pieces in half. Start with a quarter and place two pieces of the right-hand fabric on the right. Pin them together with cloth clips.
Sew triangles
Close (preferably with an upper feed foot) along the long side of the triangle with the seam allowance of 0.7 cm. Important: Sew through completely with the seam allowance.
Sew triangles
Now close the other quarter. Optionally, you can topstitch the seams on the right seam for more stability. Your first half is finished and you can continue sewing with the other half.
Join triangles
Put the right-hand sides of the fabric together. Stake out in the middle and sew along the whole length. You can use the finished piece as a template for your underside and cut the fabric with the rotary cutter.
Trim page ends
Cut 2 pieces of fabric for the side ends with the dimensions 0.25 m x 0.8 m. Put these together at the short end and sew along once.
Sew on border
Optional: Border. Measure 8 cm from the edge and sew the border with a zip foot.
Sew grab handle with border
Optional: handle with border. Cut a 0.25 m x 0.12 m piece of fabric. Place the border between the fabrics and sew right to right along the long side.
Sew on zipper
Optional: Zip Sew in a zip 0.25 m long.
Sew circles & sidewall together
Put both circles and the edge piece together. To do this, divide the circle and side wall into 4 parts. Put the parts together and sew around them. Make sure you sew in the handle and zip.
Fill seat cushion
Now fill the seat cushion with the filling material. Optionally, you can attach two buttons in the middle and sew them together so that you can increase the volume of the passing material. Your seat cushion is ready.
